Afternoon Summer Fun for grades TK thru 5th!
Afternoon Summer Fun is a mix of fun activities for post-campers or those for kids wanting to share in the fun for the afternoon! Outdoor activities such as scavenger hunts, friendly games, playground time, etc., plus a host of indoor activities like arts and crafts, story-time, catching up on summer reading, indoor games, etc. are just the right thing for fun-filled summer afternoons!
In charge of your student's afternoon fun is Adriana Montano, 3rd grade teacher at RSS. The teacher is assisted by one adult aide and ESHS interns.
ASF runs from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm! The participants will enjoy 4 ½ hours of unstructured fun, both indoors and out. Kids do not have to be enrolled in a morning camp to attend!
The program will run from June 15 through July 17 (with no camp on June 19, and July 3). You sign up by the week so you can choose one week or all five! Open to non-ESUSD students! Please enroll your student in the grade they will be in the fall of 2026.
SUPPORT THE CAMP THAT SUPPORTS YOUR SCHOOL! Our camps are taught by ESUSD teachers or Ed! associates, so your enrollment supports local teachers and community members. All profits go directly back to ESUSD through the grant Ed! pays to the district. Assisting the teachers are motivated ESHS high school students who are working to get an internship on their high school transcript. Our program is a win on so many levels!
ACCOMMODATIONS:
The Academy is not part of the El Segundo Unified School District (ESUSD) and therefore cannot offer accommodations or special resources that your student receives from the district during the school year. If your student requires special accommodations, to avoid a cancellation fee, please get in touch with us at [email protected] to discuss before enrolling in a camp.
If you would like to provide an aide to support your student, please allow enough time for the aide to be cleared by ESUSD Human Resources, which requires the aide to be fingerprinted and background-checked.
The charge on your credit card will be from the El Segundo Education Foundation!
We sometimes take photos/videos for promotional purposes. To opt out, please email [email protected] with the participant's name, class they are taking and dates of the class.
Please contact The Academy if you have any questions.
