Description

Welcome to Presentation Skills for Students!

No matter what path your student takes, elevated communication skills will help them find success.

Are they prepared?

This course will help them develop positive habits as they:
• Consider how they represent themselves even when not giving a formal presentation
• Increase confidence
• Maximize verbal, vocal and visual communication
• Use pitch, pace, volume and congruent body language to enhance communication
• Create a clear, concise message
• Decrease anxiety when presenting
• Connect with an audience

No one can know how brilliant you are if you can’t communicate it.

Please enroll your student in the grade they will be in the fall of 2025.

Each session is limited to 12 students. Book now to avoid disappointment!

There will be two sessions this summer and the curriculum is the same both sessions. Both sessions are 4-day weeks: June 16-20 (no class on June 19) OR June 30-July 3.

Teaching this class is Sheila Miller-Nelson. Mrs. Miller-Nelson's company, Midian, is dedicated to helping people learn how to truly connect to create better relationships and enhance leadership. A former trainer with Dale Carnegie, her experience in communication and leadership coaching spans more than 25 years. Sheila has an impressive roster of corporate, business and community clients and she is excited to help shape these future leaders.

SUPPORT THE CAMP THAT SUPPORTS YOUR SCHOOL! Our camps are taught by ESUSD teachers or Ed! associates, so your enrollment supports local teachers and community members. All profits go directly back to ESUSD through the grant Ed! pays to the district. Assisting most of the teachers are motivated ESHS high school students who are working to get an internship on their high school transcript. Our program is a win on so many levels!

FYI: The charge on your credit card will be from the El Segundo Education Foundation! We sometimes take photos/videos for promotional purposes. To opt out, please email [email protected] with the participant's name, class they are taking and dates of the class.
