Description

Welcome to Hogwarts! You can invite Dobby, but please don't ask Lord Voldemort to join us!

The best way to spark a love of reading is to find a book that captures you. For many students, and Ms. Barnes, this book is Harry Potter. Please join Ms. Barnes as she brings this wizarding world alive! This course will allow students to delve deeper into their love of Harry Potter through numerous activities and projects. Students will be sorted into houses, study and create spells, analyze characters, practice potions, and expand their knowledge of the wizarding world. It doesn’t matter if you have only read one of the books or all seven; if you are interested in life at Hogwarts then you are welcome!

This half-day camp is for students who will be entering 3rd - 6th grade for the 2025-26 school year. Please enroll your student in the grade they will be in the fall of 2025.

Teaching this camp is Mychala Barnes, 4th grade teacher at CSS.

This one-week camp will run the week of June 23-27 OR July 7-11 (the same camp curriculum runs both weeks).

Does your student want to stay the full day? Great because we have Afternoon Summer Fun, for grades TK-5, from  12:30 pm to 5:00 pm for all five weeks of camp! The participants will enjoy 4 ½ hours of unstructured fun, both indoors and out, under the supervision of ESUSD personnel. Be sure to add this option to this registration.

SUPPORT THE CAMP THAT SUPPORTS YOUR SCHOOL! Our camps are taught by ESUSD teachers or Ed! associates, so your enrollment supports local teachers and community members. All profits go directly back to ESUSD through the grant Ed! pays to the district. Assisting the teachers are motivated ESHS high school students who are working to get an internship on their high school transcript. Our program is a win on so many levels!

FYI: The charge on your credit card will be from the El Segundo Education Foundation! We sometimes take photos/videos for promotional purposes. To opt out, please email [email protected] with the participant's name, class they are taking and dates of the class.
