Tide Pool Strings - Violin and Cello beginners!
This two-week camp (Monday, July 7 to Friday, July 18) is open to students entering grades 2 through 5 in the fall of 2025 with no prior playing experience. This is a great way to introduce students to violin or cello and get a head start before Seaside Strings starts back up in the Fall. It is strongly recommended that beginners enroll in both weeks of camp to get the greatest benefits, although you can enroll in just one week.
Teaching this class are the wonderful Seaside Strings teachers, Cameron Johnson and Jennifer Chun.
Seaside Strings is a wonderful program that runs throughout the school year at both RSS and CSS, with enrollment twice a year at the beginning of each semester. This camp is taught by the amazing Seaside Strings teachers so your enrollment supports The Academy teachers and all profits go directly back to ESUSD.
This program is open to non-ESUSD students. Please enroll your student in the grade they will be in the fall of 2025.

Does your student want to stay the full day? Great because we have Afternoon Summer Fun, for grades TK-5, from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm for all five weeks of camp!The participants will enjoy 4 ½ hours of unstructured fun, both indoors and out, under the supervision of ESUSD personnel. Be sure to add this option to this registration. If Tide Pool students in grades 2 & 3 would like to join the Learning Journey camp for the two hours between Strings and ASF, please email [email protected] for a prorated camp fee.

SUPPORT THE CAMP THAT SUPPORTS YOUR SCHOOL! Our camps are taught by ESUSD teachers or Ed! associates, so your enrollment supports local teachers and community members. All profits go directly back to ESUSD through the grant Ed! pays to the district. Assisting most teachers are motivated ESHS high school students who are working to get an internship on their high school transcript. Our program is a win on so many levels!
