Afternoon Summer Fun for grades TK thru 5th!
Afternoon Summer Fun is a mix of fun activities for post-campers or those for kids wanting to share in the fun for the afternoon! Outdoor activities such as scavenger hunts, friendly games, playground time, etc., plus a host of indoor activities like arts and crafts, story-time, catching up on summer reading, indoor games, etc. are just the right thing for fun-filled summer afternoons!
In charge of your student's afternoon fun is Kara Kiley, 3rd grade teacher at CSS, for Weeks 1-3 andAdriana Montano, 3rd grade teacher at RSSfor Weeks 4-5.
The teachers will be assisted by one ESUSD aide and at least 4 ESHS interns.
Available to our morning campers and non-campers to attend, ASF will run from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm! The participants will enjoy 4 ½ hours of unstructured fun, both indoors and out, under the supervision of ESUSD personnel.
The program will run from June 16 through July 18 (with no camp on June 19, and July 4). You sign up by the week so you can choose one week or all five! Open to non-ESUSD students! Please enroll your student in the grade they will be in the fall of 2025.
SUPPORT THE CAMP THAT SUPPORTS YOUR SCHOOL! Our camps are taught by ESUSD teachers or Ed! associates, so your enrollment supports local teachers and community members. All profits go directly back to ESUSD through the grant Ed! pays to the district. Assisting the teachers are motivated ESHS high school students who are working to get an internship on their high school transcript. Our program is a win on so many levels!
FYI: The charge on your credit card will be from the El Segundo Education Foundation! We sometimes take photos/videos for promotional purposes. To opt out, please email [email protected] with the participant's name, class they are taking and dates of the class.
Please contact The Academy if you have any questions.
