Welcome to Piggy Bank Basics!
This is a financial literacy class designed specifically for middle schoolers, because it's never too early to learn fiscally responsibility!
This class is open to grades 6-8!!!
DETAILS:
Grade: 6-8
Location: ESMS, room to be announced a day or two before the seminar
Time: 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Dates: Thursdays - Sep 11, 18, 25 and Oct 9 (no school Oct 2)
These classes will touch on key money themes including:
Class One: What is financial literacy? Why is it important?
Class Two: Understanding & managing the costs of adulthood.
Class Three: Borrowing, spending and saving money.
Class Four: Planning for our financial futures.
Students are provided with information, tools and a little motivation to help them take ownership of their own money matters. The following subjects will be covered.
Piggy Bank Basics is taught by Heather Davis, a Certified Financial Literacy Instructor. Ms. Davis is a member of the local Beachside chapter of National Charity League (NCL) and has provided introductory presentations on money matters for that chapter's middle and high school members.
