Description

Welcome to Hogwarts! You can invite Dobby, but please don't ask Lord Voldemort to join us!

The best way to spark a love of reading is to find a book that captures you. For many students, and Ms. Barnes, this book is Harry Potter. Please join Ms. Barnes as she brings this wizarding world alive! This course will allow students to delve deeper into their love of Harry Potter through numerous activities and projects. Students will be sorted into houses, study and create spells, analyze characters, practice potions, and expand their knowledge of the wizarding world. It doesn’t matter if you have only read one of the books or all seven; if you are interested in life at Hogwarts then you are welcome!

This course will run the week of June 10-14 or June 24-28 and is designed to be one week long (meaning the curriculum repeats the second week).

NEW this year - full day option available! Available to campers and non-campers to attend, “Afternoon Summer Fun” will run from  12:30 pm to 5:00 pm all four weeks of camp! The participants will enjoy 4 ½ hours of unstructured fun, both indoors and out, under the supervision of ESUSD personnel. Be sure to add this option to your Learning Journey registration. Great for busy families! Great for kids who want to have fun! Great for the future of ESUSD!

Our camps are taught by ESUSD teachers so your enrollment supports local teachers. All profits go directly back to ESUSD through the grant Ed! pays to the district. Assisting the teachers are motivated ESUSD high school students who are working to get an internship on their high school transcript. Our program is a win on so many levels! SUPPORT THE CAMP THAT SUPPORTS YOUR SCHOOL!

The charge on your credit card will be from the El Segundo Education Foundation!

We sometimes take photos/videos for promotional purposes. To opt out, please email [email protected] with the participant's name, class they are taking and dates of the class.
